The American-Romanian Business Council’s 11th Annual Business Mission to Bucharest

The American-Romanian Business Council (AMRO) brought a delegation of 14 companies to Bucharest on March 20 and 21, 2024 for its 11th annual business mission to Romania. The Council had the opportunity to meet with Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, the Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Ștefan-Radu Oprea, the Minister of Investments and European Projects, Adrian Câciu, the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rafila, the Minister of Energy, Sebastian-Ioan Burduja, the Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digitization, Bogdan-Gruia Ivan, the head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Alexandru-Mihai Ghigiu, the State Councilor for Foreign Policy and Strategic Affairs in the Prime Minister's Chancellery, H.E. Nicolae Comănescu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Luminița Odobescu, Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Vasile-Daniel Suciu, Vice President of the Senate Sorin-Mihai Cîmpeanu, and Secretary of State of the Ministry of Finance Marius Zinca.

During the mission, our delegation also attended a reception with Romanian government officials hosted by U.S. Ambassador to Romania Kathleen Kavalec. Additionally, AMRO hosted the sixth annual U.S.-Romania Defense and Cybersecurity Forum with the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Economy, and Ministry of Internal Affairs.
